I am so grateful I found this gem! My dog had what looked like mouth tumors which ended up being benign, thank goodness! Dr. Springer was quick yet thorough with her first exam then a few days later she got her surgery and is so much happier now! Dr. Springer is easy to book with and usually has ample availability! He showed me and my dog that he's caring, patient and wants to help. At check in, I'm pretty sure Aliyah now has a favorite vet assistant, she's so sweet with her! I appreciate everyone at this vet and will continue to bring all my pets to them! They are very affordable and the monthly payments have made vet visits a lot less stressful, especially for those unplanned visits!

I've been going to Highlands since I got my first dog on my own in 2000. Since then, I've lived in both Glen Allen and Norfolk and continue to return to Highlands. While she has not been there the whole time I've been going, I've been really happy with the addition of Dr. Hood. I absolutely love how she really spends time with us to make sure she answers all of my questions (and as a helicopter dog mom, I can have a lot). She's really good about explaining our options to keep him as healthy as possible and doesn't recommend things just to get more money. She will usually go through the options and tell us her opinion on what is worth it, what she's seen with others, and what doesn't seem like something that is needed at the time. I also love that she calls him a "distinguished gentleman" rather than a senior or old dog. 😀
