I chose this practice many years ago because Dr. Porter had such an outstanding reputation, and after meeting him, I understood why. He reminded me of a modern-day James Herriot—compassionate, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely dedicated to providing the best possible care. He listened carefully, addressed concerns thoroughly, and set a very high standard for veterinary care. Unfortunately, my experience with the veterinarians currently filling in has been quite different. While the front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, the overall quality of care did not meet the standard that Dr. Porter established. The veterinarian I saw was neither particularly personable nor attentive to my concerns. I felt that my questions were not adequately addressed, and much of the information provided was unrelated to the issue I brought my dog in for. Most disappointing was the feeling that my concerns were not truly heard. Because there are several excellent veterinary practices in the area, I have decided to transfer my dog's care elsewhere. Based on my experience, I will be moving to Tidewater Animal Clinic for future veterinary services.

They have a new veterinarian here. She is very friendly and thorough. In the past, there was usually a long wait here. Now, I was seen at my exact appointment time.

This is not worth your wild, when you ask a specific question the staff disregards the clincents request. It's still in civil mode which presents its self with difficulties to say the least. On tech visits the doctor was absent from the clinic this is dangerous for a suffering pet that had a reaction to the injection? I highly recommend another vet
